In November 2012, Kyocera introduced the FS-1040 monochrome laser printer, along with the FS-1020 MFP and FS-1120 MFP. Print speeds for all three models were OEM-rated at 20 pages per minute (ppm). The FS-1040 printer had a duty cycle rating of 10,000 pages per month, and both MFP versions duty cycles were rated at 20,000 pages per month.
The standard supplies set is made up of separate toner and drum units. Replacement toner cartridges are available in 2,500 page standard yield versions. All toner cartridges require a chip for correct printer operation.
